The heating element is the most common reason a dryer runs but doesn't produce heat. If your clothes are still damp after a full cycle or the dryer blows only cold air, the element coil has likely burned out. This assembly includes the coil and the housing bracket. Before replacing, check the thermal fuse and cycling thermostat as well — they're cheaper parts that cause similar symptoms.
